That’s Spencer on the right, with his hammy pal Alex (who was the daily post here at StreetStories a couple days back). Spencer had just landed a bed at Rock Bay Landing the day before after a hard month outside. He used to make a living going door to door to wash windows, but the pandemic ended that, and then came a divorce. “It was downhill from there,” he says. He was hit recently in a bylaw seizure and managed to get his clothes back after going to City Hall to go through the reclaiming process, but didn’t get back his tent or stereo equipment. “If you’re not with your things when bylaw comes, you lose everything and never get it back. My friend couldn’t even get back photos of his dead mother.”
