The lessons of life on the street have come fast for Ginger, who has been homeless for a month now. She has been struck by the kindness of others living homeless since she arrived on Pandora, but the harsh impacts of the ongoing bylaw raids are something else. Sleeping on a sidewalk generally requires that a person lie on their back for any kind of comfort, but Ginger couldn’t get to sleep that way and was happy to have found a little cot that let her lie on her side. “But then bylaw came and ripped it right out of my hand as I was packing up. They said they’d given us a time warning, but they didn’t. They’re so rude, I can’t believe it.”
