Jinx used to be a fixture in the touristy parts of the downtown, selling his wood-burning and paintings on foam board. His preferred corner was Fort and Douglas streets. “I need a lens to get back to wood-burning, though. I used to have a 20-inch telescope lens I would use, and could hold that maybe 10 inches away and get the wood burning no problem.” Jinx says he could do really well earning money with his art all summer long in those years, but these days is struggling to even get on income assistance. “I’m trying, but I had to replace my birth certificate and some of my other ID, and it just keeps delaying things.”
