Ending up alone on the streets of a city she doesn’t know was not in the plan for Jordana when she and her boyfriend left Alberta in a hurry a few months ago. Her boyfriend had warrants out for his arrest and they had fled to his home town in Sooke to get away from the police. But they found him, and now he’s in jail. And Jordana is homeless in Victoria. “It’s not great, but the people are nice enough,” she says. She’s hoping to get help from a relocation program that the City of Victoria funds so she can get back home to her own family in Valleyview, Alberta.
